Erie-Niagara Counties Regional Planning Board

The Erie County Department of Environment and Planning (DEP) leads the county's economic development efforts, oversees environmental compliance, collaborates on local and regional planning, provides digital mapping services, and provides wastewater treatment services in seven sewer districts across the county. The Planning Division administers the Erie County Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnership Consortiums, used for a variety of community planning/improvement projects, housing programs, and economic development programs. The Office of Economic Development is responsible for the development of business sites that provide the opportunity to improve the Erie County tax base through business retention, attraction, and expansion.

The Office of Geographic Information Services produces and distributes geographic data, creates maps, provides GIS technical support and develops and hosts web-based mapping services catered to the specific needs of interested departments. Erie County's Cultural Arts Grant program provides funding and resources to foster artistic excellence, promote diversity, and enrich our community's cultural landscape. Erie Grown supports the local community by providing resources to discover the freshest local produce.
