Memphis Area Association of REALTORS®

The Memphis Area Association of REALTORS® (MAAR) is a professional trade organization established in November 1910, serving real estate professionals across Shelby, Fayette, Tipton, Hardin, Hardeman, and McNairy Counties in Tennessee. As one of the state's largest local REALTOR® associations, MAAR functions as the voice for local real estate, providing essential resources, education, and advocacy for its members.

MAAR's primary mission is to support its REALTOR® and REALTOR-ASSOCIATE® members by offering a wide array of benefits including professional development courses, continuing education, access to MLS services, and adherence to the REALTOR® Code of Ethics. They play a crucial role in maintaining high professional standards within the real estate community and represent their members' interests in governmental affairs at local, state, and federal levels through initiatives like RPAC.

While MAAR provides valuable resources such as market statistics, homebuyer education links, and tools like SentriLock for its members, it is important to note that MAAR itself is not a mortgage lender, bank, or a direct provider of financial loans. Instead, it empowers real estate professionals, who in turn assist consumers with property transactions and may connect them with various financial service providers.
