YWCA is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all. With a history spanning 165 years, the organization focuses on improving the lives of women, girls, and communities of color through three key areas: Racial Justice & Civil Rights, Empowerment & Economic Advancement, and Health & Safety.

YWCA USA operates as a strong nationwide network, with 136 local associations serving nearly a million people in 2022. A significant portion of those served are people of color and women/girls. The organization provides various programs, including prevention programs focused on sexual assault, trafficking, and domestic violence, as well as initiatives for community members to eliminate racism.

YWCA empowers women, girls, and families economically and supports their leadership development. They also offer health, wellness, recovery, training programs, housing, food assistance, and immigration assistance. Through national campaigns, YWCA raises awareness around racial and gender justice issues, engaging their network and partners in this important work.
